Our prayers go out to the family of Bob and DJ Gibson.  Everyone who calls themselves a Mountaineer feels Bob's loss, and going forward, we all must pull together and try our best to fill a huge void.

We are excited to be a part of the Delaware Chapter. The Mountaineer family here in Delaware has welcomed us with open arms. It feels good to call Delaware home. It feels even better to know that we have a piece of the Mountaineer spirit right here with us. Without scholarship opportunities that were presented to us at West Virginia University, we would have never known what Mountaineer pride was.

We understand the extreme hardship that some families go through when sending a child to college. We both were blessed with athletic scholarships to WVU.  Not every student has that same opportunity.

It was heartbreaking to call prospective WVU students a few weeks ago and hear the students and parents talk about how badly they wanted to be a part of the Mountaineer family, but wouldn’t have the opportunity because they just couldn’t afford it.

That’s where all of us can make a difference!   The Bob and DJ Gibson Scholarship Fund is the perfect way for us to help. What a better way to reflect on your experience at WVU and give back in a way that is rewarding for everyone involved. We plan on making a donation and hope that you will do the same.

Today, we challenge you to help in shaping the future. Send your donation, big or small, to help give someone else the chance to bring home a piece of the Mountaineer Spirit!

 Let’s goooooo Mountaineers!

All our Mountaineer Love,

Lance Frazier and Kina Thornton
